Elmarie Louw Attorneys was established May 2019. 

The firm’s sole proprietor, Elmarie Louw, was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa during February 2008 and has been practicing as an attorney ever since and, after having obtained more than a decade’s post admission experience and know-how – both in practice and through post-graduate studies, decided to start practicing for her own account. 

During 2003, Elmarie Louw obtained her B-Com Law degree from the Rand Afrikaans University and her LL.B degree from the University of Johannesburg in 2005. In line with her focus areas, she further obtained a postgraduate diploma (cum laude) in Drafting and Interpretation of Contracts in 2007 from the University of Johannesburg; attended an extensive seminar on wills and testamentary trusts through Legal Education and Development (a division of the Law Society of South Africa) during 2017; and obtained an advanced diploma in Estate and Trust Administration in 2019 from the University of the Free State. She was honoured as the top student in Trust Administration. 

Elmarie is also a Member of the Fiduciary Institute of South Africa (FISA).
